Privacy notice

Nifty Workspace is operated by Nifty IT (“we”, “us”). This notice explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Who is responsible

Nifty IT Consultants (PTY) Ltd., registration number 2020/487894/07, of 255 Glover Avenue, Centurion, Gauteng 0157, South Africa, is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website and the Nifty Workspace service. Our Information Officer can be reached at info@niftyit.co.za.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us. Your name, work email address, company name and the content of any message you send through the contact form on this website.
  • Account information. If you start a trial or subscribe, the details needed to create and bill an account, handled in the application rather than on this website.
  • Documents you upload. Held in your workspace and processed only to provide the service to you. We do not use your documents to train AI models.
  • Website analytics. If analytics is enabled, aggregate usage measurement as described under Cookies below.

Why we process it

  • To reply to an enquiry you have sent us.
  • To provide, secure and support the Nifty Workspace service, and to bill for it.
  • To keep the audit records that the service exists to produce, and that our own security obligations require.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how this website is used so we can improve it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use a small number of operators to run the service — hosting, payment processing, email delivery and, where enabled, website analytics — each bound to process information only on our instruction. The current list is available on request.

Where it is held and for how long

Documents and account information are hosted in South Africa and encrypted in transit and at rest. Enquiry messages are kept for 30 days. Workspace content is kept for as long as your subscription runs, and deleted or returned on termination in line with your agreement. Where we are required by law to keep records for longer, we keep only what the law requires.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent where processing rests on consent. Write to our Information Officer and we will respond within the period POPIA allows. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Security

Access to personal information inside Nifty IT is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs. The service enforces per-folder permissions, records access in audit trails, and encrypts data in transit and at rest. No system is beyond risk; if a breach affects your information we will notify you and the Regulator as POPIA requires.

Terms of service

Effective 12 October 2026. These terms govern Nifty Workspace subscriptions and use of the service.

Supplier

Nifty Workspace is a product of Nifty IT Consultants (PTY) Ltd. Registration: 2020/487894/07. CSD: MAAA0962820. VAT: 4110323955. Postnet Suite 192, Private Bag @ 1015, Lyttelton, Gauteng, South Africa.

Service and electronic delivery

Nifty Workspace supplies online document software and a Windows desktop application. No physical goods are shipped and no delivery fees apply. Account registration and email verification are required. Trial access is activated after successful card confirmation by PayFast. Paid access is activated or renewed after payment confirmation. Activation normally occurs automatically; if access is not available within 24 hours, contact customer support with your account email and payment reference. If we cannot supply the purchased service, we will refund the affected payment.

Trial, prices and recurring payments

The Professional trial lasts seven days from successful card confirmation. No subscription payment is taken at trial setup. The Professional one-user monthly price is R249.00 excluding VAT, plus R37.35 VAT, totalling R286.35 including VAT. Other plan prices and billing intervals are shown before authorisation. PayFast handles card entry and verification; Nifty Workspace does not store your card details. The first billing date is shown at checkout. Unless cancelled before that date, the subscription renews at the authorised price and interval. Payments are in South African rand (ZAR).

Cancellation

Cancel in Settings → Subscription before the next billing date to stop future subscription charges. Cancelling during the trial before the first billing date prevents the first subscription charge. Cancelling a paid subscription retains access until the end of the paid period. Cancellation takes effect when confirmed by the payment provider; contact support if confirmation is not received. Uninstalling the desktop application does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation has no administration fee. Starting again requires a new checkout and does not automatically provide another trial.

Refunds

Duplicate payments, incorrect charges and payments for a service we cannot supply will be refunded after investigation. Subject to applicable consumer rights, changing your mind or cancelling a correctly supplied subscription does not ordinarily entitle you to a refund for an elapsed or partially used billing period. Submit a refund request to customer support with your account email, payment reference, payment date and reason; never send your password or full card number. We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days and initiate approved refunds within seven business days. Refunds are returned through the payment provider to the original payment method where supported; bank processing time may vary. These terms do not limit rights or remedies available under applicable South African law.

Accounts and acceptable use

Keep login credentials secure, provide accurate account information and use the service only for lawful purposes. Upload only documents you are authorised to process. Do not attempt to access another customer's documents or interfere with the service. Account and document handling are described in our privacy policy.

Customer support and disputes

Nifty IT Consultants (PTY) Ltd. is responsible for customer service, service delivery and refund requests relating to Nifty Workspace. For customer support, cancellation queries, refund requests and disputes, email support@niftyit.co.za.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
